Youzan Miura
三浦耀山

1973 Born in Miyashiro, Saitama
1996 Graduated from Waseda University's Faculty of Political Science and Economics and entered a company, but quit to become a Busshi or Japanese sculptor specialising in Buddha.
1999 Studied under Professor Watanabe learning about Buddhism for 13 years in Shiga Prefecture. He learnt to make and repair numerous Buddhist statues.
2011 Took the name 「Youzan」.
2012 Became independent and moved to Kyoto to work.

Engyo-ji Temple, Otsuchi-cho, Iwate Pref.
Bunoji, Sasayama City, Hyogo Pref.
Restoration of Munpo-ji Temple, Fugen-an Temple, Kashihara-shi, Nara Prefecture
Nara Prefecture Sakurai City Jizoin Restoration (10 statues)
Various restoration of Buddha statues all across Japan.
Holds workshop on sculpturing.
